It is Christmas Eve 2023, and Christmas Eve 2024, and Christmas Eve 2025 and all other picture-perfect Christmas Eves that Nora will live in her lifetime unless something happens to irrevocably change her world. And something does. The arrival of an old friend catalyzes a chain reaction of events that reveal the secrets that fester under the facade of the Helmer family home.
This adaptation explores Nora's archetype through the lens of tradwives and biblical feminity as prescribed by fundamentalist Christianity while examining the cost of such strict gender divisions.
